Dublin South FM 104.9

Dublin South FM is the Irish Broadcasting Commission - licensed community radio for South Dublin and was the First Local Community Station to go on air in 1995. It was formed to resolve the difficulty Local Groups had in letting people know what was going on in the Locality. We produce and broadcast 35 hours of quality programmes each week from our studios in Rathfarnham. Our aim is to use Local Access Radio to enhance the quality of life in our community.

Our formula of Local Presenters,Locally focussed programmes and high quality Local news coverage is seen as an ideal addition to national radio. Our broadcast area covers 90,000 people and our service is not replicated by any other station in Dublin.

Dublin South FM are noted providers of Training Courses in Broadcasting Skills for Groups, Individuals and Students. We have developed our own training skills sheets over the years."Anyone can do it" is our motto. Dublin South FM aims to make a difference by interacting with our community,reflecting both it's tastes and it's talents through access radio and is supported by FAS and The European Social Fund.
